The programme for the St. Patrick's Day celebrations in Puerto del Carmen have been released.

Party in the Plaza from 10:00 with live music, market stalls, children’s play and entertainment in Plaza Varadero in the Old Town harbour. They have a flag ceremony at 10.00.

A mini 2 hour Cruise will leave from the harbour at 11:30. It will have live music on board. The tickets cost €20 and include 3 drinks per person. Available from the ticket office in the harbour or from Clancys Bar in Puerto del Carmen.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade at 12:00 from the Biosfera Shopping Centre to the Old Town harbour.

So come on down to Puerto del Carmen and enjoy the celebrations!

The Ayuntamiento de Tias have organised a celebration on the 17th March for St. Patrick's Day.

There will be music, activities and celebration in El Varadero, in the Old Town Harbour.

Easter Sunday Zest Restaurant, Costa Sal, Matagorda is the place to be if you are looking for top quality food and entertainment.

A 3-course traditional Sunday Roast (beef, lamb or chicken) with all the trimmings is just €14.95 and will be served from 1pm onwards. Special menu for children just €5.00 and there is an Easter Egg Hunt for the children as well.

The entertainment will be provided by Collie Farrell and Los Hunos. This 4-piece combination will be delivering a mix of jazz, swing and traditional Hungarian folk and gypsy music. It’s guaranteed to get you on your feet and dancing.

LBA. Hi Ronn, thanks for sparing the time to talk to us, I am sure you are busy, can I ask what you are working on at the moment?

RB. No problem, at present I am just completing a few villa jobs and next week I am off to Tenerife for 10 days, doing a photo shoot for a major UK Tour Operator.

LBA. I assume before you moved to Lanzarote you were a photographer, can I ask how long you have been here and why Lanzarote?

The LBA attended a meeting held at the Hotel Beatriz Playa de Puerto del Carmen last Friday, in which the the Mayor of Tias and the Tourism Councillor reported in detail on the 20 new actions, 17 promoted by the private sector, with an investment of 90 million euros, and 3 public, endowed with an amount that exceeds 10 million euros from own resources of the municipality of Tias, Lanzarote Cabildo and the Canary Islands, as part of the Plan for Improving Public Areas in the Islands.
