We are meeting for our first LANGUAGE EXCHANGE session in Playa Honda next week.
A great way to meet new people and improve your language skills by chatting with a native speaker.
If you have ever been to the Intercambio sessions in Puerto Calero or Playa Blanca you know how good it is...
Pedro from Spain, whose English is a bit patchy, would like to improve it. John is from Bristol and he is learning Spanish. The good thing is they both live in Lanzarote, so they could help each other out.
They can meet up and have a conversation exchange, and speak half an hour in English and half an hour in Spanish.
I´m sure many of you will love "Lo Más TV", a great way to improve your Spanish.
Different levels, different accents...I won´t say anything else, just have a look at it: www.lomastv.com.
Beginners please go directly to "Free demo videos" and click on Juanes - Fotografía
Do you know "Juanes"? (no, it´s not the plural of "Juan" - his full name is Juan Esteban, that´s why)
Colombian pop sensation Juanes sings this duet with Canadian superstar Nelly Furtado. This song is very clear, very easy, and repetitive using key vocabulary.
I hope you enjoy it!
Can you speak Spanish?? Are you having lessons?? One of the biggest problems for foreign residents here in Lanzarote is learning to speak Spanish. For many reasons this may be difficult, but very often the problem is simply not having the opportunity to practice, so now is your chance.
There is an event called Intercambio, where people meet regularly, to converse in foreign languages. This gives them the chance to chat with others who are learning and builds up confidence to practice and use the language more and more. Some attendees want to practice speaking English and some want to practice Spanish, so this group is helping both sides of the equation.
The event is free of charge; you just pay for your drinks! Everyone is welcome to attend.
