We are meeting for our first LANGUAGE EXCHANGE session in Playa Honda next week.
A great way to meet new people and improve your language skills by chatting with a native speaker.
If you have ever been to the Intercambio sessions in Puerto Calero or Playa Blanca you know how good it is...
How does it work?
Pedro from Spain, whose English is a bit patchy, would like to improve it. John is from Bristol and he is learning Spanish. The good thing is they both live in Lanzarote, so they could help each other out.
They can meet up and have a conversation exchange, and speak half an hour in English and half an hour in Spanish.

Speak Spanish - Intercambio
Submitted by Lynsey on 9 February, 2011 - 11:43Can you speak Spanish?? Are you having lessons?? One of the biggest problems for foreign residents here in Lanzarote is learning to speak Spanish. For many reasons this may be difficult, but very often the problem is simply not having the opportunity to practice, so now is your chance.
There is an event called Intercambio, where people meet regularly, to converse in foreign languages. This gives them the chance to chat with others who are learning and builds up confidence to practice and use the language more and more. Some attendees want to practice speaking English and some want to practice Spanish, so this group is helping both sides of the equation.
The event is free of charge; you just pay for your drinks! Everyone is welcome to attend.
