Calor y Café are a non-profit association based in Arrecife, their doors are open to help those in need, whatever the reason.
The charity was formed back in September 1996, now Sor (Sister) Ana together with a total of 22 volunteers offer many different services to people who find themselves in a situation of social exclusion as well as individuals and families that due to the current economic situation and unemployment cannot afford to cover their basic needs.
The volunteers and Sor Ana
provide daily meals, hairdressing and laundry facilities as well as distributing clothes that have been donated to the charity. The charity also offers a medical service for those in need with access to doctors and health workers including:
Programme of harm reduction and prevention of risks of prostitution and drug use by injection
Programme for rapid detection of syphilis and HIV
Family Social Worker
