Spanish Plus + Lanzarote
What and who is Spanish plus + Lanzarote? Spanish plus is a new language school in Playa Honda and it does what it says Spanish plus, English, German, French and Italian. A number of other subjects are also available including maths and literature. The team behind Spanish Plus are Paco and partner Lourdes who are two professional, experienced business people whose knowledge and passion for learning and the enjoyment of learning have led them to create this new language school that offers innovative teaching combined with external activities.
The official opening will be in September to coincide with the new “school term” however at the moment they are offering a number of flexible courses for students covering Spanish and English, they can be stand alone or to help students to prepare for the September curriculum. This newly refurbished, purposely designed centre offers comfortable, light airy classrooms in a pleasant semi pedestrian area with nearby free parking and easy access to public transport.
All classes are open to either children or adults and a test is normally taken to decide what level would suit individual students. Classes would normally consist of no more than 5 students and they are mainly conversational classes combined with the necessary knowledge of grammar rather than just grammar based. Communication plays a strong role with scenarios covering everyday practicalities such as a visit to the health centre, bank, dealing with the police, and other issues related to everyday life.
In addition depending on interests outside activities will be included/arranged, these can vary i.e. theatre/cinema visit, bodega visit, walking group, but all with a strong emphasis on using the language you will be learning.
The two main areas in the school are for adults needing to improve or learn a new language or school age students who need the language to help at school/college with their studies.
Summer special Learn Spanish this summer in #Lanzarote. Every Monday we start a course, classes in the morning and many activities in the evenings and weekends. Hiking, diving, excursions, bike routes, all this and more with us. All activities will be in Spanish. And also for the summer “Summer School”
As mentioned the “full curriculum” will commence in September but anyone wanting to start courses now can contact the centre for full details. Enrolment for September will take place during July and August and early bookings are advised.
