Jet 2 announces that they will only come to repatriate tourists who are on the island

Bad news for the island of Lanzarote. It was seen coming and it has been confirmed: the Jet 2 company has announced that it will only come to the island to repatriate the tourists who are here. Therefore, the repatriation operation experienced this summer is repeated, although on a smaller scale.

The company has suspended all its operations in Lanzarote until January 5. All clients who are on the island will be repatriated at the latest on December 28.

In other words, empty planes are expected to arrive to take them back. The only hope that remains for the sector is that they resume operations after the holidays, that is, on January 6.
