Arthur Goddard is planning to swim from Lanzarote over the Bocaina Strait to Fuerteventura and back, a journey that hasn’t been attempted before. Arthur in his early 50’s and has been training since January for this event, he’s hoping to raise enough money to purchase a CityKid Handbike which is €2,000, if he can raise €3,000 an Amphibian Chair can be purchased.
Arthur who may be better known as Elvis from playing gigs in the local bars will be departing from the main beach in Playa Blanca at 03:00 am on the 8th September 2012, he’s hoping to complete his non stop swim between 15:00 – 17:00 in the afternoon.
