SPAIN TIGHTENS ENTRY REQUIREMENTS ON 1 FEBRUARY 2022

Spain’s ‘booster requirement’, in terms of Covid vaccinations will change for those entering the country on 1 February 2022.

This follows the European Union’s recent decision to validate the EU’s digital COVID certificate for just 270 days after the holder’s first dose.

The new rules come into force on 1 February.

This means that holidaymakers will not be allowed to enter Spain if their last COVID-19 vaccination was more than 270 days ago. Visitors who have only received two vaccinations and for whom the second vaccination was more than 270 days ago will need a booster vaccination more than 14 days before the date of arrival.

In addition, all passengers arriving in Spain by air or sea, including those in transit, must complete an online health form before departure. Once you have completed the form, you will be given a QR code to show at the airport health check when boarding and on arrival.
