On April 19. That is the date on which Health plans to withdraw the obligation to wear masks indoors.
This has been communicated by Carolina Darias, Minister of Health, to the communities at the meeting of the Interterritorial Council that is being held in Toledo.
The intention of the minister, as announced in the initial speech of the meeting, is to take the proposal to the Council of Ministers scheduled for that Tuesday, April 19.
In which places will the mask continue to be mandatory?
However, there will still be some exceptions where the use of the mask will remain mandatory:
Health centers.
Social health centers.
Public transport.
The mask was mandatory indoors from May 2020
The mandatory nature of masks was established on May 20, 2020, the year in which the coronavirus pandemic began, by means of a ministerial order.
A year later, on March 29, 2021, a Royal Decree was approved ratifying its use both outdoors and indoors. Royal Decree that underwent the last modification in February 2022, in which the mandatory nature of masks outdoors was eliminated.
