The Comisiones Obreras union called off the strike scheduled for the Christmas holidays at Spanish airports on Wednesday, to which more than 10,000 workers from the Aena business group were called.
The union has explained that after holding a meeting with the management of the airport manager, they transferred the decision to pay the productivity supplement.
The union organization highlights that the pressure exerted has forced a meeting between the Ministers of Transport, Raquel Sánchez, and of the Treasury, María Jesús Montero, to take place on the 13th to unblock the conflict.
The CCOO had registered a strike call for December 22, 23, 30 and 31 of this year and for January 6 and 8, 2023, to recover the productivity pay that they stopped charging when the coronavirus pandemic broke out for the drop in air traffic.
