Regarding the property rental situation, our lawyer is currently preparing an “executive summary report” basically analysing the legal status of non-residential villas in the island of Lanzarote. We intend to circulate the report to all our property project members during February.
With respect to the Puerto del Carmen area, the recent final approval of the 2nd Modernization Plan has given a “green light” for property owners who are willing to initiate the relevant processing via the Cabildo and the Tías Town Council to make their private rentals legal.
The LBA’s team of professionals are now working on the “roadmap”of how to proceed, addressing the legal and technical guidelines to be considered during the process.
