LBRA representative Ian Slade recently attended the “Friends of Costa Teguise” meeting to celebrate the forthcoming carnival. The meeting was held at the Melia Salinas Hotel which is currently undergoing some refurbishment and there was an opportunity to view some of the newly refurbished rooms (see below).
Amongst the number of topics discussed it was announced that work on the “New Paseo” continues with an investment of 1.4 million with the emphasis on quality not price, and there are plans to include a children’s playground and tourist office along the paseo. Ian also had the opportunity to discuss a number of suggestions and ideas with the mayor and tourism officials which were received with enthusiasm.
