Binter expands the connectivity by making direct flights from La Palma to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura during the summer months , a novel result of the joint work that the airline has done with the Cabildo de La Palma in recent years. The airline has scheduled eight weekly flights between La Palma and Lanzarote and six to link Fuerteventura with Isla Bonita.
In addition, starting in October, a daily link will also be made to the Tenerife South Airport, which will expand the options for flying between both islands.
Binter thus reinforces its ties with the Isla Bonita in a determined bid to expand and improve the connectivity of all the palmeros, conejeros and majoreros, while making the islands more accessible to tourists arriving in the Canary Islands.
The Director of Institutional Relations and Communication of Binter, Noelia Curbelo, emphasizes that the company from its origins has always been linked in a special way with La Palma and its inhabitants. “Binter remains faithful to its firm commitment to the connectivity of the Canary Islands studying and launching new routes, both internal and external,” says Curbelo.
The Minister of Tourism of the Island Council of La Palma, Alicia Vanoostende, ensures that Binter’s announcement of these new direct connections “is a great news for Isla Bonita since, on the one hand, it provides a very important comfort bonus when traveling between the islands furthest from the Canary Islands, and on the other hand it is a fundamental incentive for La Palma to remain on the most attractive domestic air routes at a tourist level, which entails a rapprochement between insular territories and dynamisation for the economy of the islands. islands. In the case of Lanzarote, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, a plane will take off from La Palma Airport at 11:30 am and depart from Lanzarote Airport – César Manrique at 1:10 pm to return to Isla Bonita . The connections with Fuerteventura will be made on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at the same times. These additional routes will be carried out in the months of July, August and September.
On the other hand, the airline will extend the connections of La Palma with Tenerife from October of this same year, when it will establish a daily flight with the Reina Sofía-Tenerife South Airport that will take off from the airport at 13:00 hours and from the airport. Noelia Curbelo recalls that the airline currently operates an average of 226 weekly flights with the Isla Bonita that are reinforced for special occasions such as Los Indianos, the Bajada de la Virgen de las Nieves or the Transvulcania, among others and that starting in July they will be expanded with new destinations.
