More than one million consultations in primary care, 7,100 surgical interventions, almost 64,000 emergencies, 1,254 deliveries, 9,000 admissions, 50,000 diagnostic or therapeutic tests, more than one hundred thousand radiological studies and more than ten thousand sessions of Day Hospital, those are the figures with which the Insular Health closed in 2017.

Some figures, unquestionably positive and much higher than in previous years, without this meaning that there are no problems in the health of the island, increased in years like this in which the flu has wreaked havoc on the island.
