Guacimeta Airport in Lanzarote have reported two cancellations and 24 diversions due to delays in the wind on Sunday 31st July.

The operations of the airport on Sunday was hampered by the strong winds of up to 80km per hour. Guacimeta recorded two cancellations, and 24 delays of flights, and 4 flights that landed elsewhere.

On Sunday there were 87 flights that operated, including departures and arrivals to Lanzarote. Of these, 24 were delayed an average of 57.17 minutes, the report said from Aena Canarias.

In addition, two flights, one from Düsseldorf (Germany) and another in Madrid, were canceled, so they were unable to land in Guacimeta. In addition, Aena had a flight from Lanzarote to Düsseldorf, but as this airplane took off from Germany, they had to suspend his return.
