This week the Minister of Tourism in Lanzarote, Carmen Steinert, together with tourism representatives from the island will attend one of the most important Tourism Fairs, ITB Berlin this week.
The fair will be held from 7 to
March 11, and Lanzarote will be joining the other islands on a joint Canary Island Stand. Among the brands being promoted will be ‘ European Sport Destination ‘,’ Taste Lanzarote¨ and “We are Geria”, and Puerto del Carmen will be promoted as a Diving destination.
Some of the promotional material will be done by the public relations agency “Angelika Hermann-Meier ‘. The agency has been working with the island’s Tourist Board for some years.
Lanzarote Tourism’s objectives are to strengthen the relationship with the main tour operators in Germany and the major airlines currently operating on the island. Among others, there will be meetings with representatives of Air Berlin, Sky Airlines and XL Airways, as well as tour operators TUI, Rewe, Schauinsland Reisen, TSS Group and Alltours.
