A few hours ago Lluis Serra, spokesman for the scientific committee that advises the Government of the Canary Islands on the pandemic, advanced the need for the island to go to the red light after having increased more than 400% the accumulated incidence in the last seven days .
Not only have the positives of Covid-19 increased in Lanzarote, but the number of admitted to the Molina Orosa Hospital has also multiplied . At this time, there are 23 people admitted, of which five are in the Intensive Care Unit.
With respect to the rest of the islands , La Palma, El Hierro and La Gomera are at alert level 1, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, at 2, and Tenerife, at three. The situation of the capital islands will be reviewed on Saturday.
The entrance to the red traffic light implies a series of limitations that will be in force from this Friday until January 28 . New restrictions that take effect this Friday

Limitation of the maximum number of people not living together in family and social gatherings, in spaces for public and private use, closed or outdoors. It is limited exclusively to people living together in any space. Except in hotels and restaurants, where the maximum number of 4 people per table will be respected.
Hotels, restaurants and terraces, bars and cafes: closing hours to the public. Number of people per table. Close to the public before 22:00. A maximum of four people per table. Prohibition of service in interior areas, except in health centers and work centers for the exclusive use of staff.
Terraces or other outdoor spaces dependent on the establishment. It is forbidden to carry out activities that promote not maintaining interpersonal safety distance or not wearing masks such as dances, karaoke, etc.
Gaming and betting establishments and premises. Gambling and bingo casinos, arcades and games rooms, external and similar betting venues will remain closed.
Practice of non-professional sports activity and physical exercise, in interior areas of sports facilities and centers. The practice of activity indoors is prohibited.
Practice of sports activity and physical exercise outdoors. Individually provided that the safety distance of two meters can be maintained permanently. Team sports may not be played in which the two meter distance cannot be guaranteed at all times.
Hospital centers. External visits are suspended, except in the case of minors, pregnant women, terminal illness and optional criteria.
