Lanzarote will host on October 7th the Ecomac Conference: Environmental Management in SMEs . The event will take place in the Hall of Arrecife Gran Hotel, from 17:00 to 18:30.

Provincial Federation of Small and Medium Enterprise Metal and New Technologies of Las Palmas (Femepa) is the primary beneficiary Ecomac project, funded by the European Union. A project to improve environmental management in small and medium enterprises in the metal and new technologies in the Macaronesian region.

The main aim of the conference is to present the progress and actions to improve environmental management of these companies through an EMS Environmental Management System that enables organizations to respond effectively to changing regulatory pressures such as social, financial, competitive and environmental risks.

These seminars aim to inform the participating SMEs implement the economic benefits of an EMS based on specific requirements for each company, and obtain recognition as a responsible citizen.

The conference, first in a series of outreach and training activities will be held on three issues that will begin on Wednesday October 5th in the auditorium of the Femepa headquarters in the capital of Gran Canaria, between 19.30 and 21.30 . On Thursday October 6, the day will be held in the auditorium of the Femete headquarters in the capital of Tenerife. The conference will end on Friday October 7, in Lanzarote, in the auditorium of the Arrecife Gran Hotel. The Conference brings together more than 300 small and medium local businesses and new technologies of metal.
