The Cabildo de Lanzarote, in collaboration with the concession company of the interurban public transport service, Arrecife Bus, has launched a new free mobile application to offer users detailed information, in real time, on interurban buses.
“Thanks to this new app, available in Spanish, English and German, users of the island’s public transport will be able to know, from their own mobile device, and at any time, the lines and schedules of the buses, plan routes according to their time, locate stops and even check the balance of the card “, details the Minister of Transportation, Nerea Santana.
Undoubtedly, the launch of this Intercity Bus Lanzarote application will improve the experience of users of interurban public transport, and in addition, incidents or specific deviations can also be known. This app is made up of eight modules with the following functionality:
Route: in this section you can see which is the most suitable line to reach the destination.
Next Bus: shows the arrival time of the bus at the stop where the user is.
Next Stop: once the device’s GPS has been activated and while on board the bus, in this section you can find out the next stops.
Lines and Schedules: shows all available lines, their frequency and departure times.
Rates: know the available tickets, their conditions, prices and where they can be requested.
Favorites: in this section you can see the stops, buses and routes most used by the user, that is, the favorites.
Up-to-the-minute buses: information on line alterations, such as traffic cuts or specific detours, as well as relevant information on the interurban transport service.
Card Balance: this option allows you to check the balance of the transport card.
