The Cabildo of Lanzarote reminds that until next March 25 may be deposited sports shoes, disused but that is in good condition, in any of the about 50 points located in different public administrations, schools, health, tourism and sports, among others, adhered to the campaign ‘Zapatillas Solidarias’.
This campaign has been developing on the island of Lanzarote and La Graciosa since 2014, which the Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the areas of Waste and Social Welfare led by Carmen Rosa Márquez and Maite Corujo, supported the initiative of the Basketball Club Conejero and the Martínez Hermanos Foundation.
It is worth remembering that through this solidary recycling project, disused sports shoes are collected, in good condition, that is destined for the young participants of the basketball camps that are celebrated in July in Equatorial Guinea, with the objective that the boys and girls and young Guineans are introduced to the practice of sport as a model of social inclusion and the development of healthy habits in a safe environment.
In addition to the totality of educational centers added in this edition to the campaign, through the Recicole project, this year the Magec Tías CD, the Sports City of Lanzarote, the Basketball Club Conejero, the Club La Santa, Crossfit Lanzarote have joined. , The Box Wellness, Macrofit Arrecife, Hotel Sandos Papapago, Nautilus Lanzarote and Hospiten Lanzarote. They have also joined the Department of Sports Tinajo and Yaiza where in their municipal gyms can also deposit the shoes solidarity.
From Lanzarote Recicla is also reminded that in the main building of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, in the office of the 1st floor, and in other insular facilities, this footwear can be deposited, as well as other materials of the different campaigns promoted by the Waste Area (shoes solidarity, small appliances, solidarity plugs, used batteries and recycling of writing material).
