Arrecife hosted this Friday more than six thousand tourists from the AIDA Cruises of AIDA Cruises and the Zenith of Pullmantur docked from the first hour in the Port of the Mármoles of the capital. In the afternoon they will welcome the AIDAcara that will remain until the Saturday. Only this last cruise has a thousand passengers. Constructed in 1996 in Finnish shipyards, it was remodeled in 1995 increasing its capacity.

The mayor of Arrecife Eva de Anta and the councilman of Tourism David Duarte agree that “it is a pride to welcome tourism in a few days where we enjoy ideal temperatures and restaurants and shops that appreciate the visit.”

As highlighted by the City of Arrecife, we must remember that Arrecife has a tourist information point in the municipal office located on Juan de Quesada street (next to Ginory) and in the Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz.

For many of the cruise passengers, Arrecife is the first port of the route and they take advantage of “to walk around and carry out their shopping, filling the Calle Real and the entrance to public buildings such as the Castillo de San Gabriel that was a hotbed of people this Friday”.

Duarte added that the cruise is a tourist “who comes to walk and to know why it is important that he reaches not only the commercial offer, but we can boast of a unique marina with an enviable climate”.

Only in January are exceeded the thirty stopovers with thousands of passengers disembarking in the capital of the island.
