Lanzarote César Manrique Airport handled just under 799,400 travelers in March, during a period in which more than 6,500 flight operations were recorded. These are record figures in both respects, according to the figures periodically published by the Cabildo’s Data Center.

In the case of passengers, the previous best record was set in August 2024, at just under 797,000 passengers. It is very likely that the new record will be surpassed again in the short term, either at the end of this month, due to the influence of the current Holy Week, or during the summer, with Guacimeta registering over 800,000 passengers.

And in terms of transactions, the previous best mark was reached in December of last year, with more than 6,400. In this regard, given the trend in recent months, it can also be inferred that a new peak will be reached during the summer period.

It should be added that Lanzarote airport welcomed more than 2.2 million passengers in the first quarter, a 2.6% increase compared to the first months of 2024. And more than 17,900 operations were recorded, a 2.5% increase compared to the previous year.

In both categories, Lanzarote Airport ranks tenth nationwide, according to estimates by the state-owned operator that controls the facilities. Madrid Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport holds the lead.
