Turismo Lanzarote and Vueling announce the opening of a new route with Mallorca from June 19

The insular promotional entity and the low cost airline that is part of the International Airlines Group (IAG) have already begun to design promotional actions for the launch of this new route.

The Lanzarote Foreign Promotion Society (SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote) and Vueling Airlines announce the opening of a new route that will connect the César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport with Mallorca from June 19, at the gates of the beginning of what traditionally are the main summer months of holidays for the national market.

The airline company launches this new connection that will have a weekly frequency, with departure every Saturday from Palma Airport at 07:00, and arrival in Lanzarote at 09:20. In turn, the return to Mallorca has the scheduled departure from Lanzarote airport at 10:00 a.m. and arrival at also known as Son Santjoan International Airport at 2:20 pm.

 

The island councilor for Tourism Promotion,  Ángel Vázquez , affirms that this is ” good news because it reveals the confidence in our destination of one of our main air operators with whom we maintain an excellent framework of collaboration”.  Likewise,  “the programming of this new route by Vueling is an indicator of the expectations set a priori by the air navigation sector itself in the face of a gradual recovery of tourist flows, once vaccines become general. ”.

Vueling is one of the most prominent Lanzarote Tourism partners in the national tourism market. Not surprisingly, this airline connects Lanzarote Airport with those of Asturias (Oviedo), Barcelona, ​​Bilbao, Malaga, Santiago de Compostela, Seville, Valencia and Alicante, as well as Paris-Orly (internationally).
