The works have been awarded for 828,713.36 euros and a deadline of 12 months. The Ministry of Health of the Government of Canaria s has begun the construction of the new Local Office of Costa de Teguise, which have been awarded to the company HORMICONSA Canarias, SA, amounting to 828,713.36 euros, without IGIC, and a deadline of 12 months.

With the construction of this new infrastructure, the Basic Health Area of ​​Teguise will significantly improve its network of Primary Care Centers by incorporating a modern and functional building that will replace the current clinic located in premises leased by the City Council, which were conditioned by the Canary Health Service.

This temporary situation will be solved definitively with the construction of the new Office that will be built on a plot ceded by the Consistory to the Government of the Canary Islands of 1,372 square meters, of which 503 meters will be allocated to the building.

The new Center will have a single plant and the following dependencies that will cover the current and future health needs of the population:

Areas of reception and administration.

Area of ​​pediatric care, with 2 consultations, waiting room, toilet and lactation room.

·Area of ​​Family Medicine, with 4 consultations of attention of adults, waiting rooms and toilets.

·Emergency area.

·Multipurpose room, meeting room and support areas, techniques and those for the staff of the center.

The population assigned to the Local Clinic of Costa de Teguise is composed of 6,612 Individual Health Cards , of which 4,891 are Family Medicine 4,891 and 1,721 Pediatrics.
