The association has been asked to collaborate with the Oficina de Acción Global, in gaining signatures to say that the 3 companies involved in the announced drilling are not welcome in the Canaries. This is not a boycott of their products; it is to lend support to the Cabilido´s efforts to say NO to Oil in the Canaries.
If members wish to show their support could they please print the attached form and gain as many signatures as possible. The forms have to be returned to the Cabildo offices in Arrecife prior to 2.00pm on Monday 15th July. For convenience, Silvia will be at the Cabildo between 12.00 – 12.15 on Monday and if you prefer you can return the forms to her then. Unfortunately the signatures have to be originals, not copies, so this can only apply to people who are in Lanzarote at the moment and who can take the forms to the Cabildo before 2.00pm on Monday.
