A meeting has been arranged for Sunday 30th June by the Commission Insular and Ezequiel Navío – Director Officinal Acción Global of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, to discuss the current situation in respect of oil in the Canaries. The meeting will take place at Casa Cerdeña in San Bartolomé,directions and further information is attached. The committee of the biosphere reserve and the government of the island want to inform you first-hand about the actual state of the planned oil drilling,
There will be a 2 hour presentation that will be translated simultaneous in English.
Actual information for English Speaking residents and visitors about the planned oil drilling in front of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
After the presentation there will be an opportunity to speak with the expert (leader of the project against the oil the Canaries) with the help of an interpreter.
The commission insular has stated that in the future in order to work closer with British Citizens, it is planned that there will be 4 days of information per year for foreign citizens.
Anyone wanting further information in respect of the Oil Drilling is welcome to attend the meeting on Sunday.
