Primark has already opened its doors. It has been necessary to wait more than seven months since the Open Mall Lanzarote shopping center opened last November, with the promise that the well-known Irish multinational would soon do so. And it has done so, on June 22, thousands of Lanzarote residents finally accessed the Primark facilities on the island.

The queues from early in the morning made clear the desire that people had to finally have this new offer.

It is foreseeable that, throughout the weekend, thousands of people from Lanzarote will come to see the offers of the company, famous for its good prices.

Primark has been training and preparing its workers for a month and has hired more security for those first days, to prevent incidents from occurring.

Primark was founded in 1969 by Arthur Ryan, who, under the name of Penneys, opened a single store on Dublin’s Mary Street with the aim that the Irish could enjoy fashion at an affordable price.

Currently, it is an international fashion chain with 72,000 employees in 15 countries, although it is still based on the same fundamentals: affordable prices for everyone on a day-to-day basis. From high-quality basics to standout styles for women, men, girls and boys, plus beauty, homeware and accessories. “While we remain firmly rooted in our Irish roots, Primark is already established across the UK and continental Europe, expanding into Central and Eastern Europe, and making its way into the US. With more than 400 stores in 15 countries in Europe and the United States, we perceive growth opportunities in all our markets and we hope to reach 530 stores by the end of 2026”, they point out from the organization. “Affordable prices have always been at the heart of Primark. Our current vision is to ensure that everyone can afford a more sustainable fashion”.
