On Monday we attended the launch and presentation of a new not-for-profit website, supportinspain.info, aimed at over 50s UK nationals, the site has lots of useful information to help older residents and other vulnerable people.
The launch was held in Puerto del Carmen and hosted by Neil Hesketh, Support in Spain (a British Consulate & University of Birmingham website project ) and Caroline Sproule, Consular Officer, at the British Consulate in Las Palmas.
We heard from a number of guest speakers including our association president Daniel Trigg, representatives from AFOL, PerpetuArte, (both cancer support associations), AFA LF who help support patients and families with Alzheimer and dementia, details of all these local associations can be found on the website, many people living here are unaware of these and other support associations so please have a look and share with others. https://www.supportinspain.info/
