We know that many of you are in the UK and unable to return to Spain under the current restrictions as you do not hold the documentation that the Spanish authorities have stated is currently required as proof of residency i.e. the TIE, certificado de registro (green residency certificate) or ‘resguardo de solicitud o renovacion de tarjeta de extranjero’. We also recognise that there is confusion around why this latter document is being accepted, yet others that demonstrate that you have started the residency process are not. We want to reassure you that we are actively working with the Spanish on these issues.
