For her part, Davinia Armas explained that “in addition to reinforcing the implementation and start-up of different actions and protocols that help to control and prevent the current situation for the tourism sector, the seal aims to give visibility and recognize the responsibility and involvement of the establishments that comply with the Covid measures and protocols set by the State and Autonomous Government and the health authorities ”.

What does it mean to be Be Safe?

As detailed from the Cabildo, the Be Safe seal implies compliance with the security and prevention measures established for both tourists, establishments and staff, in order that both the issuing markets and tour operators, visitors and the population of Lanzarote trust in the recovery of the Island as a safe destination and contribute to its promotion.

The Be Safe initiative will have a digital platform that will guarantee that all the measures and protocols are available to the establishments as well as specialized information, among other advantages such as the visibility and promotion of the establishments adhering to the program that demonstrate their commitment and responsibility. The objective must continue to be to protect ourselves to protect our population, above all, our tourism and therefore the economic engine of Lanzarote.
