The Government of the Canary Islands plans to approve next Thursday the decree law that will bring together all the measures adopted by the Canarian Executive during the pandemic and will have the force of law after its parliamentary processing.
The president of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, has indicated in the press conference after the Government Council, that the claim of this decree law “is not to go against anyone”, in reference to the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands, which has annulled several of the measures adopted by the Government, but rather seeks to normalize the measures and clarify the regulations for citizens.
Measures during the pandemic
Torres has indicated that it is an important document, “unproblematic”, which maintains the concept of levels and that will bring together in a legislative mechanism all the measures that have been adopted in the last year and a half.
The president explained that it will be processed as a bill in the Parliament of the Canary Islands by the abbreviated and single reading procedure and in which the parliamentary groups will be able to make their contributions.
