The Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce of the Government of the Canary Islands directed by Yaiza Castilla has started the rehabilitation works of the pedestrian walkway of Arrieta, in the municipality
of Haría.

The work, which coordinates the general direction of Tourism Infrastructure, began this Friday and includes a total budget of 397. 417 euros and has an execution period
of five months.

Yaiza Castilla emphasizes that this pedestrian walkway is currently disabled and explains that its authorization is part of a set of actions planned by its department
to regenerate the area and make it more attractive from the point of view of tourism.

In this context, he added that the project also includes “the creation of a rest area and a ramp adapted to people with reduced mobility, so that neighbors and tourists
can enjoy this pedestrian space, overlooking the sea,” Castilla said in a statement.

The restitution of the pedestrian access will allow to connect the promenade of Arrieta and an islet located about 70 meters, where the construction of a solarium area is planned,
which will have an aluminum structure parquet.

The development of all these works is part of the Tourism Infrastructure Action Plan of the Canary Islands Government.
