A small fishermen’s boat from the island of Lanzarote recorded a few days ago beautiful pictures of a couple of beaked whales in the northwest waters of the island.

According to the expert in cetaceans, Vidal Martin, it is about two females of Blainville beaked whales, Mesoplodon desirostri.

The waters of the Canary Islands are a must for many large species of cetaceans. The zifio is one of them although they are not easy to see.

The chicha calm of the weather on that day possibly allowed the sharpness of the sighting of that pair of zifio females in waters near Lanzarote.
