One more year the animal becomes the center of all eyes 

The wine race, or Wine Run , closed its 10th edition on Sunday with more than 2,000 participants from all over the Canary Islands who enjoyed a walk on the unequaled landscape of La Geria. 

The longest race of 23 kilometers had 319 athletes, the short of 12.7 kilometers with 590 and 1112 made the walk on a more than desirable trail. Most of the participants were from the island but the runners of other islands such as Gran Canaria, Tenerife and El Hierro stood out, as they already take tradition as a group and take advantage of the weekend in Lanzarote. 

But who became the center of attention of this sporting and gastronomic day was the popular camelthat already has this wine appointment on its agenda every year. He even walked along the path part of the programmed path. 

The camel with her bib and hat did not hesitate to take a run for La Geria , which she is used to traveling around. It should be remembered that camels are very popular in the southern town of Uga where there is a great tradition in the breeding of these animals that were so important for the work of the Lanzarote farmer.
